Founder Shawn brings more than two decades of experience in information technology, with a career spanning enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, network security, operational technology (OT), and cybersecurity engineering. Throughout his career, he has worked across both the public and private sectors, supporting critical infrastructure, securing enterprise environments, and helping organizations strengthen their security posture through practical, risk-based decision making.
His experience includes security operations, network architecture, vulnerability management, incident response, cloud security, governance, and the implementation of industry-recognized frameworks including NIST guidance and security best practices. This broad technical foundation provides a unique ability to bridge executive objectives with real-world security implementation.
The name VANTAEGIS reflects the company's philosophy—a combination of Vantage, representing strategic perspective, and Aegis, symbolizing protection. Together, they embody an approach that prioritizes thoughtful planning, resilient architecture, and security solutions aligned with business goals.
